Why Fairfield Downtown Association Changed Its Name?

Why did Fairfield Downtown Association change its name to one that's less easy to remember?  Do you recall its name without reading further down this Fairfield Downtown Association blog?

Solano Business Incubator many years ago even reserved a great web site domain name for Fairfield Downtown Association but the free gesture was not accepted.

Fairfield Downtown Association is easier to remember, and shorter than Fairfield Main Street Association.  The staff at Fairfield Main Street Association are hard working.  They must however keep their jobs and may not have the independence to suggest ideas that may not make Fairfield mayor Harry Price bright and cheerful.  Besides democracy and independence of thought, there's ethics.

The battle for Fairfield's Main Gateway Promise remains broken.  With all the other names like Fairfield Downtown Association and Fairfield Main Street Association it is easier for voters to forget the "Fairfield's Main Gateway Promise".

Then the word "Gateway" was used to promote Solano Malls' newer expansion further diluting the Gateway business trademark for West Texas Street.

There are more examples on the FixFairfield.Org blog about the Fairfield politics of confusing voters so they may not remember the important Fairfield's Main Gateway Promise.

When will ethics return to Fairfield City Hall? No more games please.
